Is the Skyexchange app required?
No. The website in a mobile browser gives you every feature, and your account is the same either way. The app is a convenience for people on Android who log in often: one icon, no address to type, and the session handled inside the app instead of by browser cookie settings.
On an iPhone, on a phone other people use, or just not keen on installing files from outside the Play Store? Then stick with the browser. Our mobile login page walks through it for Android and iPhone. If you do want the app, read the whole of this page first, because how a sky exchange download reaches you is the only thing that separates the real app from the fakes.
How the sky exchange download works
The APK is shared in a direct WhatsApp conversation with our team and nowhere else. No download button on this site, no store listing, no mirror. We know that feels inconvenient. But a file that only ever arrives from a verified contact cannot be swapped for a doctored copy along the way.
- Message the official WhatsApp from the button on this page. No login ID yet? The team creates one first; see how a Skyexchange ID is issued.
- Ask for the app. The team confirms your ID, then sends the APK into the chat together with the current version number.
- Compare the version with the table above. If the numbers do not match, ask before you install.
Installing the Skyexchange APK on Android
Android blocks apps from outside the Play Store by default. You give WhatsApp a one-time permission to install the file, then take that permission away so nothing else can ride on it.
- Tap the APK in the WhatsApp chat. Android tells you WhatsApp is not allowed to install unknown apps.
- Tap Settings on that message and switch on Allow from this source for WhatsApp only. Never turn it on globally.
- Go back and tap the file again. The installer opens. Check the app name, then tap Install.
- Open the app from the app drawer and log in with your Skyexchange login ID and the password you set on the platform.
- Revoke the permission. Settings, Apps, Special app access, Install unknown apps, WhatsApp, off. Almost everyone skips this step. Doing it means no later file can install quietly.
- Delete the APK from Downloads or the WhatsApp media folder so it cannot be forwarded by accident.
Play Protect may scan the file and warn you because the app is not from the Play Store. It says that for every sideloaded app. If the file came from the official chat and the version matches, carry on. If it came from anywhere else, stop.
What the Skyexchange app asks for
The app needs what a browser needs to show the same platform, nothing more. In general terms, expect it to ask for:
- Network access, to load the platform and keep the session alive.
- Storage, for cached pages and images so screens load faster.
- Notifications, which you can decline. The app runs fine without them.
It has no reason to want your contacts, SMS, call log, microphone, camera or accessibility services. Anything carrying the Skyexchange name that asks for those is not the official Skyexchange android app. Uninstall it. SMS access in particular is how fake copies read your OTPs.

Skyexchange on iOS
There is no Skyexchange ios app file. On an iPhone or iPad you open the site in Safari and add it to the home screen, which gives you a full-screen icon that behaves like an app.
- Open skyexchangess.in in Safari and check the padlock.
- Tap the Share button.
- Choose Add to Home Screen, then Add.
- Open Skyexchange from the icon and log in as normal.
Anyone offering an iOS install profile, a TestFlight invite, or a Skyexchange listing on the App Store is not us. Never install a configuration profile for Skyexchange, whatever reason is given; profiles can hand a stranger control of the device. Safari settings that affect login are on the mobile browser guide.
How to verify the app came from us
All four must be true
- You opened the WhatsApp chat from a button on skyexchangess.in or the link on our Official Channels page.
- The APK arrived as a file in that chat, not as a link to another site or a file-sharing service.
- The version number the team quoted matches 1.9.5 shown on this page.
- The app asks only for network, storage and optional notification permissions.
One of them fails? Do not install. Delete the file and message the official contact to check.
Fake Skyexchange APKs
Modified Skyexchange apk files do the rounds in Telegram groups, on betting forums, and on lookalike sites that copy our logo and layout. Installed, they look identical to the real thing, but they ship your login ID, password and OTPs elsewhere, and some carry banking trojans that reach into other apps on the phone. Tell-tale signs: a download button on a website, a file with a different version from the one above, a request to pay for the app, a demand for SMS or accessibility permission, or a WhatsApp number that differs from the one on our Official Channels page. The domains and tricks we see most are in spotting fake Skyexchange sites.
Updating the app safely
Because the app does not update itself from a store, every new version arrives the way the first one did: a file from our team on WhatsApp. Repeat the install steps when one comes in. Allow from this source for WhatsApp, install over the existing app, revoke the permission again. Your login and settings stay. Never update from a link inside the app that points at another website, and never install an update another user forwarded to you. We post each release on the updates page with its version number so you can check any file you are sent.
Removing a suspicious app
If your Skyexchange app came from anywhere other than the official chat, or it asks for a permission listed above as unnecessary, do these in order:
- Uninstall the app from Settings, Apps. Uninstall button greyed out? Strip its device administrator rights first under Settings, Security, Device admin apps.
- Turn off Install unknown apps for every app under Settings, Apps, Special app access.
- Run a Play Protect scan from the Play Store menu.
- Change your Skyexchange password on the platform from a clean device, using the password reset guide.
- Tell our team on WhatsApp, with your login ID, so the account can be checked. Never send the password.
- Go through the other sensitive apps on the phone, banking especially, and change those passwords too if the fake app had SMS or accessibility access.
The security checklist covers the habits that stop this happening twice.
